Don’t swear in suggestions and for 1.12 and below, skript is already at it’s latest although I’m not sure for 1.13 and above, most likely 2.4.1 which will be until probably skript 2.5 officially releases, and party needs to make sure that the plugin version is safe before releasing.
hello just me informing you that 1.12 and below is indeed not at latest since higher versions of skript does work in 1.12, doesn't matter that they are made for 1.13+ since they still give some new functionality to 1.12
but everyone is used to outdated version in 1.12.2, also updating would bring a bunch of errors to a lot of scripts but it would be great if there was an option to manually click on which skript version I want
A version option would be best, but in the case that we aren't able to choose the version:
"Updating to newer versions makes my old things have error, so we should stick to old version forever"
Why?
People making new scripts should obviously make them on latest Skript version and not severely outdated one.
Skript hasn't changed its syntax too much, rather only added new things. Errors due to updating would be rare.
You can take most of your scripts from Skript 2.2dev36 to Skript 2.4 and they still work fine, with the added bonus of having less limits than 2.2dev36.
