I can only type 100 characters in the chat before my message is cut off. Versions 1.8 and below used to only allow 100 characters per message, but now that technology has advanced, we can type 256 characters in later versions. Normally this is only a client-side limitation, meaning that 1.9+ would have no problem typing 256 characters on a server allowing 1.8- and 1.9+ players to join, but for some reason on CubedCraft, the limitation is also server-side. There is absolutely no reason for this limitation to be server-side as well; it promotes anti-social behavior amongst the community and induces dangerous toxins within 1.9+ players.
Here is an example. I wanted to talk about my t-shirt day at school with the community. My original message was:
- "you know what i find to be very interesting? you see they have t-shirt days at my school but they still require you to wear black socks??? like why can't you just wear white socks as well as a t-shirt???"
Due to the server-side character limitation, this was what was actually communicated:

Two things to note here:
1. My message makes no sense anymore since it was cut off half-way through.
2. Everyone ignored my message, leaving me in a state of depression.
All I want to do is socialize with the CubedCraft community, but there have been multiple occasions where I have come off looking like a complete idiot due to my message being cut off like that. Please prevent the spread of depression by removing the anti-social-inducing 100 character message limit.
Thank you CubedCraft developers!
Hey, The problem is not at cubedcraft. that server-side character limit is on every network that allows multiple versions. as a network owner, however, you can fix it by intercepting the message event, preventing the original message from being sent and then sending the message from the server on your behalf. Then you didn't actually send the message but the server sends your specified message, the server has no character limit.
